Community building / 2019–2026
Community has always been at the heart of how I build businesses. I bring people together through shared spaces, events, and online communities, then use what I learn to shape experiences people want to be part of.

01 / Open House Austin / June 2019–June 2024
Co-founder, CMO & Real Estate Broker
We launched in 2019 with events and education at the heart of the business.
Each month, we hosted a homeowner event and a women’s investor event, with Facebook groups keeping conversations going between gatherings.
When COVID hit in 2020, we pivoted to online events and community building. As in-person gatherings returned, we continued connecting people online and IRL.

Open House Austin / Community space launched June 2019
I co-bought a commercial property and turned it into our office and a free community event space. Local businesses, nonprofits, musicians, CreativeMornings, and Sofar Sounds could bring their communities into the space.
I also brought three food trucks onto the property. Their rent helped pay our mortgage, supporting free community use.

Open House Austin / Member listening + ongoing relationships
Our Facebook group was a place to ask questions, share experiences, and help shape the community. I used member conversations and polls to understand what people wanted, plan relevant programming, and invite feedback on the group’s direction.
Between events, we kept discussions going, shared resources, and gave members a way to stay connected.
We created the Homeowner Club to keep past clients close, continue providing value long after closing, and encourage referrals through ongoing relationships. A Facebook group and monthly gatherings gave clients a reason to stay connected. We also hosted fun annual holiday parties to bring everyone back together.

02 / Open House Education / June 2024–February 2026
Founder
I built a Circle community for women exploring real estate, investing, and shared ownership. I created the brand and member experience, managed a Community Manager, and led content and programming.
We hosted two or more virtual and community-led meetups each month. Live conversations became educational resources members could return to.

03 / Joynt / January–September 2026
Head of Marketing
For every Instagram account I’ve helped manage and every company I’ve started, we always message new followers. A personal welcome and a relevant question help us connect with our community and understand what customers actually want.
At Joynt, asking “Have you bought a house before?” sparked conversations about buying with friends, shared investments, and next steps. The replies surfaced customer needs and potential partner relationships.
I also worked with our AI lead to surface co-buying conversations across Reddit, social, and media, and built creator and affiliate relationships through webinars, newsletters, and content.

That’s the thread through my work: listen closely, create useful experiences, and build relationships people want to keep.
