Open House Education

A softer side of real estate.

I wanted a place where women could ask questions about real estate, find people to learn with, and explore possibilities like buying a house with friends.

So I built it. Open House Education was an online community centered on connection, curiosity, and building a life you actually want.

I created the brand and wrote the website, emails, newsletter, and educational content. I also hosted events and built the member experience, starting as a team of one.

01 / The business problem

What had to change

Traditional real estate tends to lead with doors, deals, and numbers. For people who didn’t see themselves in that competitive, often male-dominated world, even the first question could feel intimidating.

02 / The strategy

Where the opening was

Replace the transaction-first tone with a community-first experience. Make room for honest questions, creative possibilities, and advice people could actually use.

03 / The main idea

Real estate can be serious without being severe.

Connection first. Education throughout.

What I made happen

Strategy is only useful once it leaves the deck.

  1. 01Built the brand and point of view from the ground up
  2. 02Defined the voice and wrote the web, social, email, and sales copy
  3. 03Created educational programming and the newsletter
  4. 04Designed and hosted monthly events and the member experience
  5. 05Turned live conversations into evergreen resources
